This certificate program is for students wishing to study young children. It can be used as an entry-level training or as a specialization in areas of infant/toddler care, preschool, before and after school care, or center management.

Students must choose from the following courses to total 44 credits:

ECED& 105 - Introduction to Early Childhood Education Credits: 5
ECED& 107 - Health, Safety and Nutrition Credits: 5
ECED& 120 - ECE Practicum 1-Nurturing Relationships Credits: 2
ECED 124 - Early Childhood Education Practicum 2 Credits: 2
ECED 112 - Technology in Education Credits: 3
EDUC& 115 - Child Development Credits: 5
EDUC& 130 - Guiding Behavior Credits: 3
EDUC 240 - Multicultural/Anti-Bias Issues in Education Credits: 3-5

Any ECED or EDUC class numbered 100 or higher

EDUC 210 may count toward practicum or may be used as an elective.
