SOC 245 - Juvenile DelinquencyCredits: 5 Examines the history of the juvenile justice system, environmental influences on delinquency, theories of delinquency, controlling delinquency and current trends in juvenile crime. Examines the rationale behind the juvenile system, as well as the juvenile courts. Analyzes the various theories of crime causation including sociological, psychological and criminological theories.
Prerequisite: Eligible for ENGL& 101 or instructor’s permission. Satisfies Requirement: Social Science
