Students gain knowledge and experience on-air and behind-the-scenes at our broadcast radio stations (KGRG and KGRG-FM). Students learn the fundamentals of announcing, news reporting, production, operations, live sports broadcasting, and much more.

Course Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:

Understand the daily operations of a radio station.
Demonstrate how to operate basic radio equipment.
Identify and demonstrate industry-accepted on-the-air techniques.
Recall and apply the proper procedures to fill out official FCC paperwork.
Create newscasts and apply relevant show prep techniques.
Understand and create air check recordings.
