The Bachelor of Applied Science program in Aeronautical Science is designed for students pursuing careers in the field of aviation. Graduates of Green River College’s BAS - Aeronautical Science program that are interested in becoming professional pilots may be eligible for the R-ATP certificate at 1,000 hours total time provided they completed their Commercial and Instrument Flight training and certification at an approved GRC Part 141 flight school.

Entry Requirements

To enter this program students must already have an associate’s degree or higher, in aviation, from a regionally accredited institution with at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA. On a case by case basis, with program director approval, students may start the BAS - Aeronautical Science program when they are within 20 credits of completing their associate’s degree. Students in this situation must complete their associate’s degree within their first year as a BAS student.

Students who have completed some college coursework but do not have an associate’s degree are encouraged to meet with the Program Manager to develop an academic plan and prepare for entry to the program.
