Cybersecurity and Networking, AAS-T

This degree program prepares students for entry into a Information Technology-Cybersecurity and Networking, BAS  degree program at Green River College. In addition, this applied associate’s degree program prepares students for entry-level employment in a variety of IT positions, such as help desk technician, technical support specialist, network technician, and network or computer systems administrator.

Students in this degree program receive foundational training in a broad range of networking, systems administration, and scripting, resulting in a balanced, well-rounded knowledge of information technology and cybersecurity. In addition to these specialized courses, students learn key interpersonal communication skills sought by employers.

Program Outcomes:


Students who successfully complete this program will be able to:

  1. Understand and demonstrate procedures to install, configure, support, and troubleshoot operating systems.
  2. Understand security principles, system and network vulnerabilities, and common mitigation practices.
  3. Understand and demonstrate basic programming and database constructs.
  4. Understand network infrastructure, logic, and troubleshooting procedures.
