CJ 177 - Criminal Justice Work Experience 1 Credits: 1-5 Allows students to work full- or part-time in jobs directly related to their programs and interests. Students may receive a salary or volunteer.
Enrollment Requirement: Concurrent enrollment in COOP 171 and instructor consent.
Course Outcomes: Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:
- Apply concepts within criminology, criminal justice and criminal law in an actual work environment.
- Understand the structure, functions, and decision processes of the major institutions of society that deal with the management and control of crime and criminal offenders.
- Work hand-in-hand with criminal justice professionals in learning the skills needed for a particular position.

- Give reasons for conclusions, assumptions, beliefs and hypotheses.
- Meet obligations necessary to complete individual and group tasks.

- Responsibility - Responsibility encompasses those behaviors and dispositions necessary for students to be effective members of a community.
