CJ 177 - Criminal Justice Work Experience 1

Credits: 1-5
Allows students to work full- or part-time in jobs directly related to their programs and interests. Students may receive a salary or volunteer.

Enrollment Requirement: Concurrent enrollment in COOP 171 and instructor consent.

Course Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:

Apply concepts within criminology, criminal justice and criminal law in an actual work environment.
Understand the structure, functions, and decision processes of the major institutions of society that deal with the management and control of crime and criminal offenders.
Work hand-in-hand with criminal justice professionals in learning the skills needed for a particular position.

Meet obligations necessary to complete individual and group tasks.
