Students continue to learn and refine their on-air and behind-the-scenes training at our broadcast radio stations (KGRG and KGRG-FM). Students will become familiar with industry-standard software tools required for broadcast automation systems. Students will also assist in the training of new students while preparing for their careers in broadcasting.

Enrollment Requirement: JOURN 115 or instructor consent.

Course Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:

Understand the daily operations of a radio station.
Apply advanced techniques in the operation of radio equipment.
Identify and demonstrate industry-accepted on-the-air techniques.
Demonstrate and apply the proper procedures to fill out official FCC paperwork.
Create newscasts and apply relevant show prep techniques.
Understand and create air check recordings.
