JOURN 140 - Audio Editing for Digital Media

Students are introduced to the fundamentals, technology and methods used in the audio production and broadcast industry. Students use Adobe Audition to learn audio recording and editing techniques for creating professional multitrack media products such as podcasts, interviews, radio promotions and music.

Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:

Demonstrate multitrack editing techniques to produce digital audio content.
Demonstrate proper microphone technique for voice recordings.
Integrate voice, music and sound effects into digital audio products.
Recognize and correct problems in audio recordings.
Demonstrate basic skills necessary for entry-level audio production jobs.
