AVIA 440 - Corporate Aviation Operations Credits: 5 An examination of corporate and business flight department creation and operation. Established operating procedures and techniques, including aircraft acquisition, are explored, as well as a broad view of the mission of Corporate Aviation.
Enrollment Requirement: Admission to BAS in Aeronautical Science degree.
Course Outcomes: Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:
- Analyze and interpret the various aspects of corporate aviation pertaining to acquiring, financing, evaluating, insuring, and operating corporate aircraft.
- Determine and evaluate the needed components and personnel involved in establishing, maintaining, operating, and managing a corporate aviation department using legal, safety, and economy industry best practices.
