AVIA 440 - Corporate Aviation Operations

Credits: 5
An examination of corporate and business flight department creation and operation. Established operating procedures and techniques, including aircraft acquisition, are explored, as well as a broad view of the mission of Corporate Aviation.

Enrollment Requirement: Admission to BAS in Aeronautical Science degree.

Course Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:

  1. Analyze and interpret the various aspects of corporate aviation pertaining to acquiring, financing, evaluating, insuring, and operating corporate aircraft.
  2. Determine and evaluate the needed components and personnel involved in establishing, maintaining, operating, and managing a corporate aviation department using legal, safety, and economy industry best practices.

  1. Employ their understanding of the integral parts of the global aviation industry through practical application of comprehensive aeronautical principles.

  2. Demonstrate their ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and diverse team of aviation professionals through proficiency in the skills and technology used in the aviation industry.
