GERM& 221 - German IV Credits: 5 Systematic review of German grammar. Practice in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Oral practice through scaffolded conversations and discussions of selected German texts.
Enrollment Requirement: GERM& 123 with a grade of 2.0 or higher or placement by language instructor; eligible for ENGL 99 .
Satisfies Requirement: Humanities/Fine Arts/English Course Fee: $5.00
Course Outcomes: Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to use oral and written German in real life scenarios.
- Make comparisons and express opinions.
- Narrate events using the present and the past tenses.
- Examine texts in German from literature and media.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the historical and lingering impacts of World War 2 and the post-war era.
