Data analysts collect, transform, analyze, and visualize data to communicate results that inform and guide decision making. The Data Analytics and Software Development program prepares students to become data practitioners. The program also delivers a strong foundation for students planning on continuing their education in the Information Technology-Software Development, BAS (applied baccalaureate), Marketing and Entrepreneurship, BAS , or Applied Management, BAS degree programs at Green River College.

Program Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this program will be able to:
- Solve data-related problems using a programming language.
- Extract data from a database using a relational database language.
- Demonstrate the ability to acquire, clean, and prepare data for analysis.
- Perform basic data analysis techniques such as filtering, aggregation, and joins.
- Produce and interpret data visualizations to describe, explore, and communicate insights from data.
- Understand and demonstrate basic programming and database constructs.
- Create a portfolio using web technologies to showcase their project artifacts.
