OTA 246 - Co-op Fieldwork Experience 2

Fieldwork experience includes practice in one of the following areas: physical disabilities, psychological dysfunction, geriatrics, developmental disabilities, pediatrics, work hardening/pain management, or hand therapy under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapy practitioner. This is a pass/no credit course.

Enrollment Requirement: OTA 245 with grade of 2.0 or higher; concurrent enrollment in OTA 241; or instructor consent.

Course Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this Level 2 fieldwork will meet the following outcomes. For specific criteria, see the Level 2 evaluation completed by the Level 2 Fieldwork Educator.

Professional Behaviors and Responsibilities: Students will demonstrate the development of professional conduct, accountability, and ethical responsibilities essential to occupational therapy practice.
Occupational Therapy Process: Students will apply evidence-based occupational therapy principles and clinical reasoning to deliver patient-centered interventions across diverse populations.
Communication: Students will effectively communicate occupational therapy concepts, treatment plans, and patient education to clients, families, and interprofessional team members.
Feedback: Students will actively utilize constructive feedback to reflect on their performance, demonstrate growth, and enhance clinical competence.
