BIOL& 241 - Human Anatomy and Physiology 1Credits: 5 First of a two-quarter sequence covering the study of human structure and function. Includes the study of cells, tissues and the integumentary, skeletal, muscular and nervous systems. Explores mechanisms of common human disease processes. Laboratory component includes anatomical studies using microscopy, palpation, and dissection and the study of physiological concepts via experimentation. Prepares transfer students for careers in health profession fields.
Prerequisite: Eligible for ENGL& 101 ; and AP 104 or BIOL& 160 or BIOL& 211 , all with a grade of 2.0 or higher; or instructor’s permission. Satisfies Requirement: Natural Science or Lab Science
