HIST 231 - Modern AsiaCredits: 5 Deals with the historical factors that shaped the domestic and international relations of China, Japan, and Korea. Focuses on the evolution of political and economic power of those countries from 1850 to the present. Gives attention to the role of religious and philosophical backgrounds and to the changes that occurred in the economic, social and political structures of these societies.
Prerequisite: Eligible for ENGL& 101 or instructor’s permission. Satisfies Requirement: Social Science
