SOC 271 - Sociology of DevianceCredits: 5 Examines attitudes, behaviors, and conditions that violate the current, generally-accepted norms and values in U.S. society. Specific topics include competing definitions of deviance, development of deviant careers, and consequences of deviant identities. Focus on use of sociological theory and the use of social controls.
Prerequisite: Eligible for ENGL& 101 or instructor’s permission. Satisfies Requirement: Social Science
