JOURN 116 - Intermediate Media Creation & Storytelling Credits: 5 In this hands-on course, students delve into the theory and practice of multimedia creation through projects and workshops. Building on foundational knowledge, they explore intermediate concepts in podcasting, streaming, radio and TV broadcasting, social media content creation, script writing, and news reporting.
Enrollment Requirement: JOURN 115 or instructor consent.

Course Outcomes: Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of multimedia creation, including podcasting, streaming, radio and TV broadcasting, social media content creation, script writing, and news reporting.
- Exhibit advanced proficiency in operating broadcast and digital media equipment.
- Apply advanced industry-accepted broadcasting techniques across various multimedia platforms.
- Execute proper procedures for filling out official FCC paperwork related to multimedia broadcasting.
- Produce high-quality newscasts and implement advanced show prep techniques.
- Evaluate and assess multimedia content using industry standards and practices.
