SDEV 328 - Server-Side Web Development Credits: 5 Students develop the back end of a data-driven web application using a server-side web framework. Topics include the HTTP protocol, RESTful web APIs, and authentication and authorization systems.
Enrollment Requirement: SDEV 301 and SDEV 305 with a grades of 1.0 or higher.
Course Fee: $150.00
Course Outcomes: Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:
- Identify the fundamental components of a client-server application architecture, including servers, clients, and the communication flow between them.
- Explain key concepts in the HTTP protocol, such as request-response cycles, headers, status codes, and the role of HTTP in client-server communication.
- Produce a data-driven server-side web application by leveraging a modern framework.
- Implement a user authentication and authorization system within a web application.
