GERM& 223 - German VI

Systematic review of German grammar aimed at an upper intermediate level. Intensive practice in listening, speaking, reading, and writing with special emphasis on reading and reacting to texts and media in German.

Enrollment Requirement: GERM& 222  with a 2.0 or higher or instructor approval; eligible for ENGL 99 .

Satisfies Requirement: Humanities/Fine Arts/English

Course Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:

  1. Examine historical events that have spurred immigration to and away from Germany and how that has shaped modern German identity
  2. Use reported speech to explain past events in formal situations.
  3. Make predictions and set goals using subjunctive and future perfect.
  4. Use the genitive case.
