BIOL& 260 - MicrobiologyCredits: 5 Introduces the characteristics and activities of microorganisms with emphasis on the role of microorganisms in medicine, the environment and industry. Topics include microbial classification, growth, metabolism, the role of microorganisms in disease, and immune responses of the host. Laboratory portion includes culture, identification and control of selected microorganisms.
Prerequisite: AP 104 , BIOL&212 , or BIOL&242 with a grade of 2.0 or higher; and eligible for ENGL&101 ; or instructor’s permission. Satisfies Requirement: Natural Science or Lab Science
