ATECH 119 - Special Shop Practice

Credits: 1-12
Practical application and development of skills acquired during study and application of competencies listed in course modules ATECH 111  through ATECH 118 . Emphasizes development of a positive attitude toward work ethic, cultural and gender diversity, personal and workplace safety, and hazardous materials handling and disposal.

Prerequisite: ATECH 110 , eligible for READ 104  and instructor’s permission. All students must have a current valid driver’s license.

Course Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate technical knowledge and performance ability toward certification and employability.
  2. Demonstrate proper work ethics and customer and peer relations with emphasis on cultural and gender diversity.

Program Outcomes
Demonstrate safe shop practice and hazardous material handling.
