TS-OD 056 - OD Math High School Equivalency 1

Credits: 5-10
Study of problem solving, geometry and measurement, exponents and signed numbers. Includes introductory work with polynomials, simple equations, basic descriptive statistics, and graphing.

Prerequisite: Appropriate placement or high school transcript evaluation; and instructor’s permission. Students must be admitted through Open Doors.

Course Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:

Read, write, and interpret a variety of common mathematical information about:

Unit conversion
Geometry and measurement
Basic statistics and coordinate graphing
Pythagorean Theorem
Introduction to polynomials
Complex order of operations
Complex algebraic expressions and linear equations
