INDUS 113 - Welding Survey 3 Credits: 3 Includes lecture and lab experiences in arc welding, oxy-acetylene welding, brazing, and cutting. Basic study of MIG and TIG and other special processes.
Enrollment Requirement: Instructor consent.

Course Outcomes: Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:
- Observe all occupational health and safety rules.
- Demonstrate basic Oxy/Acetylene welding, brazing, and cutting procedures/skills as listed in the student handbook.
- Demonstrate basic Gas Metal Arc welding skills as listed in the student handbook.
- Demonstrate basic Gas Tungsten Arc welding skills as listed in the student handbook.
- Demonstrate basic Shielded Metal Arc welding skills as listed in the student handbook.
Program Outcomes
- Work as an industry standard trade welder.
- Demonstrate OSHA and WISHA standards for safety in the workplace.
- Use multiple welding processes in all positions.
- Identify the cause and effect of various welding processes per welding procedure (WPS).
- Discuss basic theory of welding and the related equipment.
- Conform to AWS and WABO qualification procedures.
