IT 244 - CompTIA Cloud+ Certification Preparation Credits: 5 Provides students competency in cloud models, virtualization, infrastructure, security, resource management and business continuity.
Enrollment Requirement: IT 131 and 160 ; or instructor consent.

Course Outcomes: Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:
- Describe cloud concepts and models.
- Explain different virtualization types and technologies.
- Describe the infrastructure resources used within clouds.
- Plan resource management and monitoring.
- Explain security requirements in the cloud.
- Perform Systems management and monitoring of cloud resources.
- Plan for business continuity in the cloud.

- Understand and demonstrate procedures to install, configure, support, and troubleshoot operating systems.
- Understand security principles, system and network vulnerabilities, and common mitigation practices.
- Understand network infrastructure, logic, and troubleshooting procedures.
