MATH 30 - Support Course for MATH& 107 Credits: 2 Support course for MATH& 107 that covers pre-college topics needed in MATH& 107. The course must be taken concurrently with MATH& 107 . Study of fractions, percents, exponents, roots, functions, formulas, linear equations, and study skills strategies.
Enrollment Requirement: MATH 72 or TS/TS-OD 57 with a 2.5 or higher, or appropriate math placement; and concurrent enrollment in MATH& 107 . Recommended: READ 104 , ENGL 97

Course Outcomes: Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:
- Use order of operations to evaluate expressions including those with fractions, integer exponents, and square roots.
- Calculate with and convert between fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Give the definition of a function and interpret function notation.
- Solve linear equations.
- Identify values in applications and use them to evaluate formulas.
- Describe study skills strategies.

- Correctly implement the quantitative or symbolic reasoning methods that are appropriate for solving a given problem.
