MATHJ 070 - Jump Start into Pre-Algebra

A brief review of math skills needed to succeed in MATH 070, including study skills tips for math classes. Class culminates with an opportunity to re-evaluate math placement. This is a pass/no credit course.

Course Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:

Perform operations with fractions, decimals, and integers in an algebraic environment including order of operations.
Apply geometry and measurement concepts including the Pythagorean theorem.
Perform operations with integer exponents.
Simplify basic polynomial expressions.
Solve simple equations.
Calculate basic descriptive statistics.
Graph points onto the Cartesian coordinate system.
