PSYC& 200 - Lifespan Psychology

Covers theories and supporting research that explain psychological development from conception through old age. Topics may include physiological development, emotional development, personality and social development, cognitive development, and aging and death.

Prerequisite: PSYC& 100 and eligible for ENGL& 101; or instructor’s permission.

Course Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:

Explain the research principles that underlie research in developmental psychology.
Identify and describe the major theories utilized to understand human development.
Identify and describe developmental milestones associated with prenatal, infancy, childhood, adolescence, and adult developmental periods.
Explain the influences of biology and environment on human development.
